The Chief Executive of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan commissioned Virgin Nigeria’s Passenger Sales Agents’ (PSA) office located in the state capital, Asaba on the 19, June 2008.
Dr. Uduaghan who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Prof. Amos Utuama commended the management of Virgin Nigeria as well as that of Maycif Consulting headed by Mr. Jones Enebeli for the foresight in setting up the sales and ticketing outlet in Asaba.
He emphasized that Asaba and indeed the entire Delta State is fast becoming a haven for investment and the government’s determination to construct an airport in the state capital has indeed received a boost with the setting up of Virgin Nigeria’s sales office in the capital city.
The governor’s representative further noted that the Passengers Sales Agent managed by Maycif Consulting will serve the traveling public in and around Asaba, thereby ensuring elimination of the travel hours which would have hitherto been lost in traveling to purchase tickets.
“We are pleased to have the duo of Virgin Nigeria and Maycif Consulting in Delta State and I wish to assure them on behalf of the government that their investment is dear to us as it will offer employment opportunities to our youths”, said Prof Utuama.
The governor noted further that the setting up of the sales office was a boost to the State’s investment drive which is fast yielding fruits. He commended both organizations for the initiative and urged them to look beyond ticket sales as other opportunities abound in the state.
Responding on behalf of both organizations, the Managing Director of Maycif Consulting, Mr. Jones Enebeli thanked the state government for the support towards the success of business enterprises in Delta State. He pledged his unalloyed support to the realization of the state’s economic policies while stressing that the private sector had a pivotal role to play in the success of any economy.
Maycif Consulting, the Passengers’ Sales Agent’s office located at Orchid Hotel, beside the governor’s office in Asaba will serve as a ticketing and reservation point for all travel needs of people in Asaba and its environs.

Opening the Virgin Sales Office in Asaba is wellcome news. Can we have Virgin commit to having an international hub in Asaba. It sure will save a lot of heart aches if one can fly directly from foreign lands to Asaba.
This is such a wonderful idea. I have put the logo on my blog and have come back to comment. I like to bake my pies the day before Thanksgiving and this year I am baking a few extra to give to some Soldiers who will not be around their families this year.As of today, I still am not sure how many are going to be joining my family for dinner on Thinasgkving, but I do know that I will have plenty of food to share.
